While we did find wind slabs at higher elevations, they were very stubborn. Even though the wind slabs we tested were stubborn, it's still best to take care when committing to consequential terrain where terrain traps present greater consequences.

Strong , WThe wind was howling at Point Six but we were able to find calmer conditions as we descended Grouse Ridge. We observed blowing snow at Point Six and on areas of Grouse Ridge. The height of snow varied between 140 - 180 on different parts of the ridge.
Snowpack Observations
CT24 RP down 25 cms.
ECTN 29 down 25 cms.
Hand hardness shows a stable snowpack with the weakest snow at the surface and getting firmer as you investigate deeper into the snowpack. Our snowpit had a depth of 145 and we did not dig to the ground.
