Bottom Line

Today we skied the backcountry just outside of Snowbowl ski resort. The rain turned into a wet snow mix just below the top Grizzly chair lift at 6900ft. From there, we toured out the Point Six ridge. Along the way, we could easily start wet loose avalanches all way to the bottom of Jenny bowl with just a single toss of a snowball. Due to the widespread evidence of danger from wet loose slides, we chose terrain under 34°
Other observations
• Below 5000ft snow and mudslides coming down to the road
• Wind transport was loading west side of ridges above 7400ft
