Bottom Line

We toured in the East Camas peak area to 8,000 feet. Warm temperatures on Saturday (03/19) left a crust in all aspects. Up to two inches of fresh snow from yesterday sit atop. We found reactive facets sitting on 03/01 crust on a northeast aspect at 7,800 feet. Another pit dug at 7,300 on northeast found less reactive facets on the crust. No cracking was observed.

Small isolated snow showers moved in and out. Clearing mid-day sky. A few inches available to transport. Found more snow (up to 2 inches) at higher elevations. Up to a foot deep, small drifts of unconsolidated snow are on the ridgeline above 8,000 feet.
