Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

We dug an ECT on a NNW aspect at 6200' in a large open area in the spruce trees. 200 cm total height of snow. We didn't have any propagation. ECTN25 80 cm below the snow surface, broke irregularly. Did not experience any telltale warning signs either.
Snowpack was right side up, not wind effected, and stayed cold all day. We did not see any rain crust in the elevations we traveled 5600+. Some of the trees on the south facing side shed some snow but it did not appear to be wet.
