We dug an ECT on 3 tiers at about 7750' east aspect. 155 cm total snow. Our pit was about 50 cm deep to look at the top of the snowpack. Depths are measured from the surface:
ECTN11 15 cm (newish snow)
ECTN16 25 cm (this is facets below the stout crust at 20cm)
When we pried the column when done both layers broke irregularly. The 25 cm layer broke the easiest.
We did not happen upon any sketchy wind slabs but for the most part sought to avoid anything that looked like one.
Snow quality was neither here nor there but an improvement from last weekend.
