Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Parked at 4,000 ft and rode sleds on continuous snow on the road to 5,900 ft. Substantial snow line on E slopes around 5,000ft and 5,500 ft on S aspects. Rode up to and around mid elevation trees, but stayed away from ridges due to rapid loading and wind transport.

110 cm of snow on a E aspect around 5,800 ft with 5 cm of recent snow (4/4-4/5) on top of the crust and during the day we saw around 8-10 cm of snow pellets or grapuel accumulate on the little bit of new snow.

Didn't dig a pit as we stayed on slopes 30°.
