We toured up the forest road then across the ridge to Nascar. We heard loud and widespread whumpfing while traveling along the ridge. We planned to stick to non-avalanche terrain anyway, but dug a pit out of curiosity at 6,200ft, East-facing aspect. The snowpack was 115cm with two obvious weak layers at ~60cm and ~70cm and facets at the ground. ECT17P
