On Sunday January 18th, we will have one of our instructors available from 10am to 2pm (mountain time) to demonstrate how transceivers work and how you can quickly and efficiently find a buried companion. This clinic will be at the Beacon Park next to the visitor center. Just show up.
The Lolo Pass Beacon Park is available 24/7, is free and a great way to practice and increase your confidence in locating a buried companion. This facility is provided through a partnership between the Clearwater National Forest, the West Central Montana Avalanche Foundation and the West Central Montana Avalanche Center.
If you park in the visitor center lot a parking pass is required (available on site). Free parking is available on the Montana side of the highway. Please do not bring dogs to the park. Thanks.
