We have had two public observations of wind slabs in the Bitterroot. Take a look before you head out. Remember identify wind slabs and avoid them. These slabs are on many different aspects, and some slopes are cross-loaded due to the changes in wind direction over the last couple of days. One of the slabs was human triggered, and the other was natural. Click on the links above for each report or here for all the public observations. Thanks to everyone who has sent in public observations this year keep them coming. If you are out in the backcountry, please send us your observations, these are very helpful in producing the advisory.
