Route/Location:
We were on an East facing slope in the G Spot/”Bowl 30″ area in the Bitterroot National Forest.
Weather:
It was cloudy with moderate winds (17-25 mph) and approximately 20 degrees F.
Wind:
There were moderate winds throughout out the day. We did not see any wind slabs at the top but at the lower road saw some small wind drifts/pillows and the wind transporting snow from the east.
New Snow: 0-3″
Avalanche Activity:
We did not see anything moving.
We dug a pit on an east aspect and did get any propagation. We dug 120 cm down and preformed a CT and and ECT. We got an ECTX and a CT 17 Q2/Resistant Planar, 80 cm down and a CT 29 Q2/Resistant Planar, 35 cm down.
