weak layer on melt crust with thin layer of facets, smooth,
Interesting to note, no failure in extended column at 80cm depth, but ct score of 12 with q1 planar surface turned us around. North facing snow pack needs time to adjust to new loading.
We skied west facing trees with very little avy terrain with terrific powder.
