New Snow: No New Snow

Avalanche Activity:
Dug 2 pits. First at 6800′ on 40° slope, snow depth was 65 cm sugary snow not significant near ground level, ECT 30 no propigations; second pit @8400′ on 35° slope, snow depth was 170cm- faceted snow present near ground level but unreactive in ECT -small windslab on top failed @ 16 but did not propagate across the column. Stability looked surprisingly good and skiing was wonderful!
