Observation Date: 12/01/2018

Route/Location:
Standard approach up SE ridge to the top, able to skin by the summer TH.

Weather:
Climbed through low clouds to partly sunny skies, light snow started to fall in the afternoon

Wind:
Calm

New Snow: 3-6″

Avalanche Activity:
We dug a pit at 8500′ E facing, and found 85 cm of snow on the ground. We didn’t get anything to propagate cleanly in our ECTs, but did find a suspect layer ~30 cms down, likely the ‘Thanksgiving’ crust that looks like it could cause some problems in the future.

Other Comments:
Great early season coverage and great skiing to be found on top 1k of little jo.
