Check out the new Know Before You Go (KBYG) e-learning program from the Utah Avalanche Center. This free interactive learning platform is designed for anyone who wants to learn more about avalanche safety skills, is preparing for an on-snow avalanche class, or wants to refresh and sharpen their avalanche education skills. Utilizing the program before taking a Backcountry 101, Avalanche Rescue, or Level 1 class helps students arrive better prepared to engage in the course and begin practicing on snow avalanche safety skills. The program uses a mix of text, images, animations, videos, links to additional content, and interactive exercises to teach some basics everyone needs to know before heading into the snow.
