Is your organization interested in sponsoring an avalanche awareness lecture? Are you a teacher looking for someone to give an avalanche awareness presentation or in need of educational materials geared for a younger audience? Would you like a private avalanche course?
We offer recreation track classes, including Avalanche Awareness, Level 1, Avalanche Rescue, and Level 2. We also offer community and school group “Know Before You Go” avalanche awareness presentations in the Bitterroot Valley, the Seeley/Potomac areas, the Clark Fork Valley (Superior), and the Missoula area. If you’d like to discuss these opportunities, please send a message using our contact form. Please note that net proceeds from fee classes marked “sponsored by Missoulaavalanche.org” help provide avalanche forecasts and free education.
Instructors for courses “sponsored by Missoulaavalanche.org” are American Avalanche Association (A3) members with years of on-the-snow experience as Avalanche Forecasters, Professional Ski Patrollers, and Avalanche Educators and have experience safely leading people in the winter backcountry. The course curriculum meets A3 education guidelines.
