Description:
Whether preparing to venture out for the first time, becoming better acquainted with the area, or seeking touring partners, this event connects you to community resources and fellow backcountry enthusiasts.
Led by local backcountry recreationist Brook Lenox, the evening begins with basics and beta to note for approaching backcountry recreation in west-central Montana. These topics segue into brief presentations from West Central Montana Avalanche Center Director Jeff Carty and National Weather Service NOAA Meteorologist Joe Messina. Afterward, the scope shifts to engaging with and among the audience.
