Observation Date: 03/16/2021

Route/Location:
Followed the skin track up to the false summit above Lappi Lake. Dug a pit around 6,500k, NE aspect, 28° slope, 155 cm deep. Very well bonded 1F slab from 155cm-55cm, with the Jan 13th facets at 55cm. ECT 29, no propagation on a layer at 135cm. On the skin up around 12pm, snow was dry starting around 6,400 but when we skied down around 4, snow was dry down to 6,800ish on N-NE slopes.

Weather:
Mostly sunny, clouds rolled in around 2 pm bringing overcast weather. Temps hovered around 30°.

Wind:
Light NE wind ~5 mph.

New Snow: No New Snow

Avalanche Activity:
Wet loose avalanches observed on all sun exposed aspects at all elevations, sluffs on steeper N-NE slopes, but became roller balls around 6,500 ft.
