Observation Date: 03/23/2021

Route/Location:
Toured up to the northwest couloirs.

Weather:
Low clouds moving in and out throughout the day, but good patches of blue sky. Occasional flurries of new snow.

Wind:
No wind on the day and little evidence of wind as the previous snowfall came in.

New Snow: 6-12″

Avalanche Activity:
Loose sluffs, no storm slabs, or wind slabs. Saw two recent wet slides while ascending, one on NE and one NW around 6500 ft.

Other Comments:
A light dusting at 6000ft and up near 8000ft there was a foot of fresh snow. The fresh snow was unconsolidated with no evidence of slab. It was not bonded well to the layers below it yet. Over 8000ft we found areas where the snowpack was shallow and facets were much closer to the surface.
