Observation Date: 05/22/2021

Route/Location:
Foggy and socked-in past the overlook. When I got to the dam around 11:20am, the fog briefly lifted out of the bowl revealing the recent slide in 2nd pic.

After talking with the party skier #1 triggered a narrow wet slide near the top of the bowl and was caught & carried approx 100-200ft hitting multiple groups of trees on way down. Was sliding fast enough to rip off skis with leashes. Skied out under own power but had significant knee pain.

Slide was the new heavy wet snow on top up of a super icy crust underneath.
