High pressure and cool.

more than light (medium?)
New Snow: 3-6″
Avalanche Activity:
None
Other Comments:
One 4 ft deep CT pit on a shaded north aspect 7800ft. The top 5″ of soft snow slid while isolating the column and was sluffing on steep slopes. Nothing below this went on 30 smacks. I was able to get the deeper layer at ~3 ft below the surface to release prying with the shovel and it broke with a Q1 smooth shear.
