Snowmachine TH, trail to east shoulder to 8400′

Weather:
Bluebird day! high teens/low20s

Wind:
calm low elev. light mid, at 8400 NW ridge(turn around ski down) NW wind in teens some snow transport . Evidence some wind sculpting across north face. No cracking on deposition (east side ridge) . Descended tree line. Nice skiing.

New Snow: 6-12″

Avalanche Activity:
No avalanches seen. Wind pillows observed.

Other Comments:
Dug pit 8000 ENE. CT 12 on zipper crust aprox 25 -30 cm(10-12″) from surface. Another layer CT 15 at aprox 50 cm from surface (dense layer 1 finger above four finger layer). Did see lower depth hoar at ground. Was moist and buried. Total depth aprox 125 cm (49 “). When exited from pit stepped hard on pit and corner aprox 12” came out. On ski out no turns broke out on steeper short rollovers.
