N. Couloir Koch – accessed from S. Fk. Lost Horse

Weather:
Bluebird, remaining cold (20F?) on the north facing ascpect.

Wind:
Windy on the high ridges. Spindrift sluffing regularly.

New Snow: No New Snow

Avalanche Activity:
Some activity on south faces warming in the sun.

Uneasy feelings set in as we booted up the wind slab in the couloir.
Dug a pit and performed an ECT at 8700′.
ECTN 17 Q1 about 24″ from the surface.
Skied variable conditions from our pit (approx. 300′ from the top.)
Nice skiing on soft snow between 7000′ and 6000′.

Other Comments:
Better to live to ski another day…
