Bear Creek Overlook trail to pt. 7700. Conservative route back down to bear creek overlook road.

Weather:
Rain to 5600 ft. Sleet then snow above 5700
Rain from Friday night-Sat morning line around 6200 ft.
6200-6800 ft. rollerballs
Light snow, lots of wind blowing snow up high.

Wind:
High circling gusts above 7000 ft.
Cornices and wind slabs forming.
Snow was heavy and hard to transport, but the gusts were sufficient today.

New Snow: 3-6″

Avalanche Activity:
None seen. Poor visibility.

Other Comments:
Snowpit at 7500 ft.
East facing.

4 cm below a major crust- not sure of the failure layer (buried surface hoar?)
The 33 cm of snow above the 172 cm was unusually dense and wind raked
