Observation Date: 11/30/2018

Route/Location:
On the SE ridge of Red Butte in the southern Missions. Up to 7000′ in elevation then back down.

Weather:
Temperatures in high 20s. Sky was overcast with low fog coming and going throughout the day. Wind was calm. No snow fell.

Wind:
Calm with no snow transport.

New Snow: No New Snow

Avalanche Activity:
No avalanche activity observed.

Other Comments:
Skied an open ENE aspect. Test slopes were unreactive on the way up. Dug a small pit which revealed a right side up snowpack. Total depth was 70cm. First 50 cm was uniform pinky hard snow, then a crust that was beginning to bond with the layers above and below. Another 8cm of pinky hard snow to a rain crust with 11cm of fist hard snow(new storm snow) above.
