Other Comments:
Repeat of our 3/9 pit north facing 7800 ft pit. Considerable snow since the weekend, the 4.5 ft deep old pit was completely filled in. We couldn’t even locate the hole until one of us fell into the soft snow filling it. The new pit was dug over 5ft deep. 96 inches total snow. Several layers apparent in the pit my guess is probably old surface hoar. nothing initiated or propagated in the ECT. We pried the column out when done and about the entire column was cohesive. It broke roughly Q3 on an interface about 4 ft down.
