Observation Date: 11/19/2019

Route/Location:
We walked up the Paradise ski trail to the top of Snowbowl at 7,600 ft. We found a snowpack above about 6,800 ft with about 2-3 feet of snow. Below that elevation there was just a few inches of new snow sitting on the ground. All aspects and elevations we traveled in with a snowpack had damp snow to the ground. We did no see any dry faceted snow in our travels. Skis or snowshoes would have been useful for travel in the deeper snow areas as we post holed to our knees. It was a good to check out the snow line and see what the snow sitting on the ground is doing.

Weather:
Windy and snowing on an off above about 5,500 ft.
