Ashley Lakes

Weather:
Partly cloudy. 0-3″ recent wet snow 5000′ and below. Afternoon temps above freezing to at least 5000′.

Wind:
Moderate winds at the mid elevations. Strong winds in the upper elevations. Surprisingly, not a lot of obvious snow transport.

New Snow: 0-3″

Avalanche Activity:
Two recent D1.5 naturals (presumably loose wet) SW aspect Sheepshead (ran ~1000′).

Other Comments:
Trail is in decent shape to lower lake. Trail to upper lake is in very bad shape (requires bushwhacking). Neither lake is frozen. Not much snow below ~6800′. Ice climbing routes are very thin and appear rotten.
