Other Comments:
Skiing options here in the south are still limited, so here we are at Lost Trail again. Three inches of dense, wind-affected snow had fallen the previous day, burying some surface hoar/near-surface facets formed last week, and so the snow felt upside-down and did not ski all that well (see photo below showing hollow turns). The buried surface hoar and a faceted layer just above the upper crust (snow pit below) gave the easiest shears, but the entire snowpack is sugary, and will probably cause some trouble with the upcoming storm. Nonetheless, coverage is still very poor, so bring it on!
