Observation Date: 02/04/2020
Route/Location:
Skied Jenny Bowl, back up ridge, and skied Jenny Bowl again and back out.
Weather:
Sunny earlier in the day then it started to cloud up and lightly snow by the end of the day.
Wind:
Cold moderate W winds.
New Snow: 0-3″
Avalanche Activity:
None seen.
Other Comments:
Dug on E, W, and N facing aspects and found the facets near the ground to be rounding, damp, and unreactive. There was a crust buried about a foot deep on all aspects that was moderately reactive in CT’s but not in ECT’s. This may be our next layer of concern with the new snow expected.
