Observation Date: 03/12/2020

Route/Location:
Skied up to 6400 feet on the Bitterroot front seeking corn snow and spotted these glide avalanches.

Weather:
Mostly sunny, windy, cold.

Wind:
West wind, but no snow moving around, even on the high peaks. It probably all blew away yesterday!

New Snow: No New Snow

Avalanche Activity:
Spotted these glide avalanches on generally north facing slopes in the Lost Horse area. Glide avalanches involve the entire snowpack, which was probably 4-5 feet deep here, so they pack quite a punch.

Other Comments:
I was able to look at most aspects and elevations up to 9500′ through binoculars and could see no other avalanche activity anywhere.

Beautiful day with easy traveling. However, the corn was immature, and a little sticky above 6000′.
