Route/Location:
Skied from Mormon Peak TH over the ridge line to Carlton Lake and skied low angle north facing trees.

Weather:
Wind from the west, north west all day, gusting to 30-40 mph. Snowed off an on, but mainly wind transporting snow.

Avalanche Activity:
Dug a pit at 8000’ and probed 120-135 cm depth. Two distinct crusts with a 2” layer of facets between them about 2.5 feet down. Storm snow slightly reactive in CT (CT11, Q1) with no movement in ECT. Plenty of consolidated snow to ski and avoid the rocks. Snow was quite wind affected but skied well.
