Observation Date: 12/06/2020
Sweeney Ridge at 8600′
Nice, but not as warm as expected. Low 30’s best guess.
New Snow: No New Snow
Performed an ECT on due N facing slope. 130 cm total snow. There was a weak layer about 5 cm below the surface under a soft crust that initiated very easily but had no slab so we could not determine propagation. Below this the snowpack was quite hard. ECT21N at 25 cm below the surface. Nothing below this was even pryable with a shovel.
Despite the high pressure the snow north of 90/270 stayed cold.
