Up the Mt.Fuji snowshoe trail to 5,400, dug a pit on a S aspect

Weather:
33° at the parking lot when I showed up around 11. Rain and light wind the whole time I skinned.

5-10 mph WSW

New Snow: 0-3″

Avalanche Activity:
Very, very saturated snow. Runnels all around where we walked. Dug a pit on a south aspect, 5,400 ft, slope angle of 26°. 84cm of snow depth, water had saturated the upper 25 cm of snow. ECT 14, no propagation, Q3 shear quality on weak layer at 56cm. CT 21, failure on weak layer at 38 cm, Q1 shear.
