Observation Date: 12/31/2020
New Snow: 6-12″
ECT test at the top of the south bowl. 195 cm total snow.
The top 10-15 cm of soft snow was sloughing off at 6 taps and cracking during skinning.
ECTN28 at 45 cm below the surface.
There were planar shears at 60 cm and 80 cm when I pried the column out after the ECT, but they were not reactive in the test. There were a number of crusts deeper in the pack but they were bonded. I performed a second test in the same pit to make sure and got the same results. Seemed like nicely consolidated snow for the most part.
