pit location 8500 ft east face camas peak. 40 ft south of north east shoulder. 30 degree slope.

 

Weather:
mostly cloudy 25 degrees or so. Pretty nice.

Wind:
wind gust 15 -20mph or so on summit. Minimal snow transport.

New Snow: No New Snow

Avalanche Activity:
Fairly deep crown could be seen on steep north facing headwall of kidney lake basin. Likely natural. Didn’t investigate. Hard to gage size from a distance. Likely 36in at deepest point, maybe 50 feet wide. Guestimate 45 degree slope.

ECTN somewhere in the twentys (memory not perfect) progressive failure over 5 or so taps. 14 inches from surface. Q3CTE top 2 inches score 1
CTM 36 inches from surface Q1 score 13. Column popped and slid with enthusiasm on very thin layer of facets.

Hmmm… Roll the dice? I kind of wish this was a blog…
